Deposits and Refunds

Why do you require a deposit?

At Marnie's Cakes, we kindly request a deposit for orders to ensure a smooth and secure experience for both our valued customers and Marnie. This deposit serves as a commitment to your order, guaranteeing your desired pick-up date and allowing me to allocate the necessary time and ingredients to craft your cake with the utmost care and attention. Additionally, as I prioritise quality over quantity, our limited capacity means that each order receives the dedicated time and effort it deserves. I  believe that this deposit not only secures your special day but also provides peace of mind, knowing that your cake will be ready as promised. Thank you for your understanding and support as we continue to create delicious memories together.

I changed my mind and want to cancel/ a refund.

Cancellations can be made after the deposit is paid, but please note that the deposit is non-refundable.

For all orders cakes (excluding wedding cakes), cancellations made 2 weeks before the pick-up date still require payment of the full remaining balance. Cancellations of wedding cakes made one month or less before the wedding date still need full payment. If your order had special design elements, such as acrylic toppers/charms, and they have been ordered already, payment for these is still required even after cancellation. Payments must be made in full before the order is processed. Orders will not be handed over until payment is received.
